My love for baking and cooking started when I began studying at university in Jordan. As an archaeology student, I learned about the rich history of food - from how early humans ate, to the development of recipes through various civilizations - that has been passed down from generation to generation and traveled around the world.
Since then, my perspective on food has changed. It's not just about fueling our bodies, but about the history and culture behind it, and the emotions it can bring out. Food has the power to bring people together and can even serve as a form of communication.
My inspiration for becoming a pastry chef and cook comes from my mother, who prepares meals and desserts from the heart. She never measures ingredients, but instead creates everything with love and appreciation for home-cooked family meals.
My father is an inspiration and a great influence on me, as he leads with honesty, loyalty, and hard work when running his own business. His example has taught me to never be afraid of showing who I am and to work hard while looking after those around me.
Meeting my soulmate, Wahid, has completed my journey as an entrepreneur. With his support, I am following my dream of running my own bakery and eatery. Together, we bake with love, passion, and care every day to share with our customers. For us, sky's the limit as we continue to build our business with unity and strength in our love for each other.
